Feeding your Wedding Vendors- Why, Who, and When?

Feeding your wedding vendors is a controversial topic.  Some couples are against it but we are here to share with you why it’s important to feed your vendors on your wedding day.

Vendors who stay the majority of the day should be fed.

After all, they’ve been giving their all throughout the day to ensure the big day is a success. A nice vendor meal is a great way to show appreciation for their hard work giving you the best wedding possible.

Who to feed?

Vendors who are only at the wedding for a couple of hours, like your officiant or car driver, won’t need meals. However, other key vendors that are at your wedding reception, there for over four (4) hours or are there from set up to break down.

They would include but not limited to:

  • Photographer
  • Videographer
  • Planner/ Coordinator
  • Assistants
  • DJ or other entertainment vendor

Think about it, if someone is present for long enough that they will be hungry and couldn’t just eat before or after coming to do their job then they should be fed.

If you would need an idea of a count, your wedding planner or coordinator would be able to provide this info for you.

When to serve your vendors?

The best time to have your vendors served  is the same time guests are being served. It’s the only time nothing is happening on our end logistically.
