The Groom’s Speech- What to include?

Are you wondering how to put together your speech for your wedding?

We’ve provided this simple guide to what you should include in your groom’s speech for your wedding day.

  1. A great way to start your speech is to begin with the writers, ” My wife and I…..” It will be the first time you have addressed anyone as husband and wife.
  2. Don’t forget your Thank Yous. Thank your in laws for their kind words of they have given a speech.

Thank your Guests for coming and being apart of your special day. Thank your family for all the help you received and anyone else who have helped.

Finish by thanking your wife, giving her some compliments as well.

  1. Share a story or joke about how you met or fell in love with your wife or how you knew she was the one for you.
  2. Raise a toast to the bride

End your speech with a return to formalities. A special message to your new wife and a brief comment to the guests. It can go something like, ” Finally, I would like to say, thank you again to all of you for celebrating with us today and could you all please resist your glasses to my beautiful wife……”

PRO TIP

Don’t leave your speech for the last minute. The best time to start worrying your speech is at least two weeks before your wedding.
